One Extraordinary Journey Through the Whole Island
The 14-Day North to South Explorer begins in Jaffna, where Tamil culture, Hindu temples, colonial landmarks and distinctive northern cuisine create a memorable introduction to Sri Lanka.
From the far north, your private journey continues through remote Mannar and the sacred ancient city of Anuradhapura before entering the Cultural Triangle around Sigiriya and Dambulla.
You will then travel through Kandy and the central highlands, where tea plantations, waterfalls, cool mountain towns and the scenic landscapes of Nuwara Eliya and Ella reveal another side of the island.

Arrival in Jaffna

Day 4
Mannar – Anuradhapura

Day 5
Anuradhapura – Mihintale – Sigiriya

Day 6
Sigiriya and Dambulla

Day 10
Nuwara Eliya – Ella
Continue through Sri Lanka’s scenic hill country towards Ella. A train journey may be arranged subject to ticket availability and operating conditions.

Travel time: Approximately 2.5 to 3 hours by road
Main experiences: Tea-covered valleys, mountain scenery, waterfalls and Ella

Day 11
Ella – Ravana Falls – Yala
Visit Ella’s signature attractions before descending from the highlands towards the dry-zone landscapes surrounding Yala.

Travel time: Approximately 2.5 to 3 hours plus sightseeing
Main experiences: Nine Arch Bridge, Little Adam’s Peak, Ravana Falls and changing landscapes

Day 12
Yala Safari – Mirissa
