Day 2
Negombo – Sigiriya
Travel towards Sri Lanka’s Cultural Triangle. Stop at local attractions along the route before checking into your hotel near Sigiriya.
Day 3
Sigiriya and Dambulla
Climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress and explore its ancient gardens, frescoes and panoramic summit views. Later, visit the historic Dambulla Cave Temple.
Day 4
Sigiriya – Polonnaruwa – Kandy
Explore the ancient city of Polonnaruwa before travelling to Kandy. Optional stops may include a spice garden or traditional village experience.
Day 5
Kandy
Visit the Temple of the Tooth, explore Kandy Lake and enjoy a traditional cultural performance. Additional visits can include the Royal Botanical Gardens.
Day 6
Kandy – Nuwara Eliya
Travel through Sri Lanka’s scenic tea country. Visit a tea plantation and factory and continue through waterfalls and mountain landscapes to Nuwara Eliya.
Day 7
Nuwara Eliya – Ella
Enjoy a scenic train journey through the central highlands to Ella. Explore Nine Arches Bridge and the surrounding mountain scenery.
Day 8
Ella – Yala
Visit selected Ella attractions before travelling to Yala. In the afternoon, enjoy a private jeep safari in search of elephants, deer, crocodiles, birdlife and leopards.
Day 9
Yala – Galle
Travel along Sri Lanka’s southern coastline towards Galle. Visit coastal viewpoints and explore the historic streets, ramparts and lighthouse of Galle Fort.
Day 10
Galle – Colombo or Airport
Enjoy a relaxed final morning before travelling to Colombo, Bandaranaike International Airport or your chosen beach hotel. Additional beach nights can be added.
